GARY M. SEKULOW

CPA/CGMA President

Overall daily operations at Preferred Financial and Management Services, Inc. are managed by Gary Sekulow.

Mr. Sekulow’s duties include:

  • all aspects of project development

  • negotiation for acquisitions

  • preparing and presenting initial feasibility Pro-forma budgets and projected income statements

  • analyzing mortgage proposals

  • all aspects of equity funding

  • controlling construction budgets

  • complying with funding requirements

  • administering project cost accounts and preparing all project-related accounting reports

In addition, he is responsible for ongoing property accounting including the analysis of owner investment and administration of cash flow returns. Prior to forming Preferred Financial and Management Services, Inc., Mr. Sekulow held the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for the Richmond Group based in Atlanta, Georgia. This company is ranked as one of the top ten healthcare development companies in the nation. Mr. Sekulow was directly involved in the development of over 400,000 square feet of office space while at the Richmond Group. In addition, Mr. Sekulow had financial responsibility for 25 ownership entities which represented over 1,700,000 square feet of assets under management. Mr. Sekulow’s responsibilities at the Richmond Group were similar to his current position as described above. In 1996, the Richmond Group was sold to Cousins Properties (NYSE).

Mr. Sekulow’s employment in public accounting includes both national and regional accounting firms. His experience includes tax, audit and consulting with a variety of individual, partnership and corporate clients from medical practices to contractors and developers. He also directed the financial department of a major commercial real estate developer for several years. Mr. Sekulow earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with high distinction from Emory University and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the State of Georgia. Mr. Sekulow also attended Georgia State University College of Law. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). In 2012, Mr. Sekulow received the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant by the AICPA.

Mr. Sekulow’s professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Sekulow was appointed to the Dekalb County Development Authority for two terms and was the former Treasurer of the Development Authority, Private Hospital Authority and Long Term Residential Care Authority for DeKalb County. Mr. Sekulow is the former Chairman of the Board of the not-for-profit corporation, Art Station in Stone Mountain. Mr. Sekulow is a graduate of Leadership Dekalb.


KIMBERLY SEKULOW

Executive Vice-President

As Executive Vice-President, Mrs. Sekulow is responsible for the administrative and marketing aspects of our projects. Mrs. Sekulow has been an executive involved in marketing and management of various companies including Federated Department Stores and American Hospital Supply. Her extensive experience in marketing and management allows Mrs. Sekulow to be the creative talent on those projects which call for a new approach. Mrs. Sekulow works with the architects, interior design and build-out team in our special-use projects. Kim has coordinated on various projects including a multi-million contract for a major clubhouse project. Recently, Kimberly headed a major million-dollar renovation project in Washington DC. Mrs. Sekulow graduated from the Commerce School at the University of Virginia with a degree in Marketing. Mrs. Sekulow currently serves on several non-profit organizations where her marketing talents and experience are in constant demand.


WILLIAM WOODS

Vice-President of Operations - Construction and Property Management

Mr. Woods has an extensive background in property management and land development areas. Since 1983, Mr. Woods has worked with some of the leading golf course architects in the country. His work experience includes 20 years as a Golf Course Superintendent with several private clubs in Georgia and Florida. Mr. Woods has spearheaded course renovation projects as well as start-up situations. Mr. Woods is responsible for our property management division which currently has over 350 commercial and residential clients.


Adam Sekulow

Vice-President of Business Development

As Vice-President, Mr. Sekulow is responsible for the operational aspects of our projects. Adam is responsible for all project coordination including ownership representation, design elements, construction and marketing of a project. Adam graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia with a finance degree. Adam graduated from the Masters of Business Administration program at Mercer University where he graduated with multiple honors and the rank of number one in his graduating class. Adam is a member of the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Mr. Sekulow is currently enrolled in the American College for the Certified Financial Planning Degree (CFP).
